For eight weeks, two cars from the FLEX car sharing fleet drove for the Fondation EME. The users’ revenue generated are now used for inclusive music jam sessions.
From 14 April to 09 June, two FLEX Charity Cars were on the road in Luxembourg with car sharing customers on a special mission. Everyone who was a driver of one of the two electric Minis during the period automatically paid 100% of their rental costs for the car into the donation account. In the spirit of the charitable mission, a suitable project partner was found in the Fondation EME. Since 2009, the foundation has been working together with committed professional musicians in Luxembourg on various projects to build bridges back into society for participants.
The result of the current Charity Car Mission is impressive. 65 customers used the two cars and drove exactly 4,800 km through Luxembourg in the specified time period. “We are again pleased to be able to hand over a considerable donation sum from our FLEX customers. A total of 4 750€ was reached and can now super support the jam sessions of multi-percussionist Amit Dhuri”; says Pit Reiter, Managing Director CFL Mobility. The sum was specially rounded up by the operator of FLEX.
“The electric minis were often seen on the road and really provided great visibility for Fondation EME’s mission. With our music projects, we want to help promote a better way of living together. The car-sharing principle of sharing was a great fit here,” sums up Sarah Bergdoll, Coordinatrice Générale Fondation EME.
As part of the ongoing charity car initiative at FLEX, further collaborations are planned for the future.
